We traveled to D.C. over the weekend for Adam to participate in the Marine Corps Marathon. We had a quick visit and saw some sights briefly before we were rained out on Saturday. Fortunately, the weather cleared up, and Adam had ideal conditions for his fourth marathon on Sunday, which he ran in 4 hours and 7 minutes. It was a wonderful experience, and we've now decided that unless a marathon has 30,000+ participants, 180,000+ spectators, military flyovers, a Marine Corps color guard and the nation's capital, it will be sub par.

Isn't D.C. a great place to visit?! I always liked when Mark had to go for business and we could all go along and enjoy free hotel on top of free museums.
